Bob Richardson (Book) by Terry Richardson and Bob Richardson
From your friendly blonde celebrity and their silly perfumes to your not-so-friendly fashionista and their sordid books, why is everyone coming out with all sorts of things this season?
Photographer Terry Richardson just came out with a book with a collection of photographs, notes, memes and unpublished writings made by his father, fashion photographer Bob Richardson, who passed away in 2005.
According to New York Times’ Cathy Horyn, Bob Richardson’s photos “were radical because, more than showing fashion in a liberated way, they sought to expose the life dramas that were consuming young people.” Also, former Harper’s Bazaar photographer Bob Richardson is widely credited in influencing other fashion photographers like Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel and Bruce Weber.
Here comes the best part courtesy of Page Six:
Bob Richardson once said that Steven Meisel is Richard Avedon without a dick.
John Galliano should be doing costumes for the circus and Tom Ford made a fortune on the backs of young assistant designers.
Oh please. Tell us something that we don’t know.
What does Tom Ford have to say about all this?
Bob Richardson once shot Tom at the Carlyle Hotel. At the end of the session, he climbed on the bed and started kissing him. Tom then said “no, no, there’ll be none of that.”
Lies. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tom Ford AND Terry Richardson’s dad had hot, steamy, gay sex. Hahaha!
