TMZ reports there have been rumors that Australian supermodel Gemma Ward and Heath Ledger had dinner on Monday, the night before Heath Ledger died on a drug overdose.

Heath Ledger’s body was discovered by the apartment’s cleaning lady as well as the masseuse. Heath’s death (by drug overdose) was accidental, not suicide.

Ex-fiance Michelle Williams is “devastated” and “words cannot describe” the pain she’s in. Michelle is flying to New York at this time. Heath has a child with Michelle named Matilda Rose, who is age 2.

Heath Ledger died from a suspected drug overdose this afternoon in his apartment. He has a 2-year old daughter named Matilda Rose with former wife Michelle Williams.

The actor Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon in an apartment in Manhattan owned by the actress Mary-Kate Olsen, according to the New York City police. Mr. Ledger was 28.

At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building, at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger naked and unconscious on a bed, with pills scattered around his body. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities.

That’s so sad!

Cosmetics guru, the Japanese Shu Uemura, founder of the Shu Uemura brand, passed away on December 29, 2007 due to pneumonia.

Uemura, who gained acclaim working with actress Shirley MacLaine on the 1962 Hollywood film “My Geisha,” died of pneumonia in Tokyo on Dec. 29, according to a statement released Tuesday by his company, also called Shu Uemura. Its products were mentioned in the more recent film “The Devil Wears Prada.”

Known for his legendary cleansing oils and eyelash curlers, Mr. Shu Uemura began his career as a makeup artist in Hollywood in 1955. His first big break came during the filming of Paramount’s My Geisha, starring Shirley MacLaine when Ms. MacLaine’s makeup artist fell sick and Mr. Uemura was called to substitute.

Shu Uemura is survived by his wife and son.

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 1 finalist Elyse Sewell went to court on Tuesday, January 8 and the Sacramento District Attorney dropped the domestic violence charges filed by her ex-boyfriend Marty Crandall of the Shins. Marty and Elyse were both arrested last Friday after a fight.

Update: The D.A. has rejected the case against me. I am free. I wish the same outcome for Marty and have no intention of pursuing any further legal action. I would not wish entanglement in the widening gyre of the American legal system upon my worst enemy.
